Native Hawaiian Student Services believes that engagement is core to who we are as a unit. We work everyday to engage in myriad ways with the Lāhui from P through 20, thus making us a unique program in the world of higher education.

Nā Pua Noʻeau UH Mānoa
Through Nā Pua Noʻeau UH Mānoa we support keiki and their ʻohana with activities and events designed to stimulate their interest and knowledge of STEM fields. This program aims to inspire keiki to attend STEM programs at UHM.

Kuaʻana Native Hawaiian Student Development Services assists students financial needs by offering a tuition waiver for qualified students as well as services to support their needs as college students.

Our Outreach Coordinator Allyson Franco heads up our High School and Community Outreach work. Each year she coordinates and facilitates campus tours, outreach events, as well as recruitment efforts with high schools all across Hawaiʻi.

Hawaiʻinuiākea Student Advisory Board
As a unit of the Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge (HSHK), NHSS works to support the students of HSHK and provide them an opportunity to be heard and participate in the governance process through the Hawaiʻinuiākea Student Advisory Board.
