Subjects, events, etc. covered: The H-3 Litigation collection primarily focuses on the fifteen-year-long case between Stop H-3 Association v. U.S. Department of Transportation. The recurring arguments in the proceedings focused on upholding National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Section 4(f) and Section 114, completion of multiple environmental impact statements, the constitutionality of certain legislation, separation of powers, and permitting injunctions. Areas of discussion in construction were the Haʻikū-Moanalua freeway path, makai realignment, Halekou interchange, Hoʻomaluhia Park, and Haʻikū Omega Station. Documents include government records of submission, letters, transcriptions, academic analysis of the case, miscellaneous notes and articles, and official rulings in regard to the proceedings.
