Appointments / How to Obtain Services
Hourly appointments are available from Monday to Friday starting at 8:30 a.m., last appointment is 3:30 p.m.
Making an appointment: If you are a currently enrolled UHM student and would like to receive personal, couple's, group, career counseling, psychiatric or other services:
- Please call (808) 956-7927 between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, to schedule an appointment.
- If you prefer to make an appointment in person, our reception area is in Room 312 of the Queen Liliʻuokalani Center for Student Services

Phone Screen: All students start with a phone screen appointment with one of our clinicians. This is a brief call with one of our mental health counselors to assess and recommend next steps to support students with mental health and well-being concerns. Learn more about our Phone Screens here.
Intake: After a phone screen appointment is completed and follow-up care with CSDC is appropriate, an intake tele-appointment is scheduled.
Length of session for individual therapy: Sessions are 45-50 minutes long.
Arriving Late: Clients arriving 15 minutes or later after the start time of the session may be asked to reschedule the session.
Missed Appointments: Clients are asked to call to notify the counselor when a session will be missed. Please call 24 hours in advance when possible.
**Due to high student demand and limited services, students missing 3 consecutive appointments may be required to gain permission from their counselor prior to making future appointments.
