The Asian Studies Department is excited to announce the opportunity for graduate-level scholars to submit their research for the Writing Excellence Awards and apply for Travel Grants. If your research is focused on Asia and fits under one of our key themes—Resilience, Restoration, or Reconciliation—we encourage you to share your abstract!
Call for Abstracts
Are you a graduate student working on research related to Asia? This is a chance to connect with scholars in similar fields, share your work, and engage in meaningful discussions. Submissions are welcome from students across all disciplines and interdisciplinary fields.
The 3Rs Themes:
- Resilience: Exploring the capacity to withstand, adapt to, or recover from adversity.
- Restoration: Investigating the desire to return to a previous condition or status.
- Reconciliation: Focused on the process of addressing past wrongs and rebuilding relations of trust.
Writing Excellence Award
Your paper could win the Writing Excellence Award! We will recognize outstanding work across various categories.
Travel Grants
We are also offering mini travel grants to eligible scholars attending the conference in Honolulu.
