The OLA Math and Science tutors are University of Hawaii students, most majoring in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math).

Live 1-on-1 tutoring

Math and Science

Students can drop in at our kiosk to work one-on-one with a tutor for up to 45 minutes. Once a tutor is available (~4 minutes), join the Zoom room from the link in your email!

Writing

Students can schedule 45-minute online appointments for writing to work one-on-one with a tutor. You may also upload supporting documents you wish to work on during your tutoring session.

Students are not required to stay with the tutor for the entire time. We can focus on what you wish to work on or need help with most. We aim to help you as much as you need during your appointment.

Our office and tutoring are closed during the holidays. Also, our tutoring hours may vary depending on the availability of our tutors. Please refer to the UH calendar for the holidays we observe.

With support from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa, the Online Learning Academy (OLA) provides free math, science, and writing tutoring to UH-system undergraduate students. Our tutors are UH college students who enjoy helping students as a way to sharpen their skills and practice professionalism and customer service.

About Us:

OLA provides free one-on-one online tutoring for UH-system undergraduate college students across the state of Hawaiʻi. OLA’s UH college tutors offer online support in math (up to calculus), science (biology, chemistry, physics), and writing (English language arts, creative writing, resume, and personal statement writing).



Our Mission:

The Online Learning Academy provides academic support for students to be successful in college. By offering free online content-specific tutoring, OLA aims to increase academic success.
