FRI/SAT 7:30pm & SUN 2pm
Play by Lee Cataluna
Directed by Lurana Donnels O’Malley

What are the things we share, and what are the things we keep under lock and key? In Lee Cataluna’s Flowers of Hawaiʻi, meet the quirky, troubled, and resilient members of a multi-generational local family as they battle over love, sex, money, and inheritance. Cataluna—award-winning Hawaiʻi playwright, novelist, and journalist—blends humor with sadness, mixes passion with vitriol, to create a vibrant play that is as varied as the flowers of our island. Flowers of Hawaiʻi. UHM Department of Theatre + Dance is thrilled to present our first production of a Cataluna play.

Content Warning: Strong language, simulated sexual situations, violence, references to domestic abuse and suicide.

Performances by special musical guests included! Log into the show by 7:15pm on Fri/Sat (as well as during intermission). Sunday’s stream features 15 minutes of preshow entertainment from 2:00-2:15, followed by the show.
