Do you have a catchall drawer? That drawer with sauce packets, chopsticks, paper clips, and recipes but also with peculiar miscellaneous things unique to you? Kennedy Theatre is seeking a high-resolution photograph of a local style ”junk drawer” for possible inclusion in its November online production of Lee Cataluna’s Flowers of Hawai’i. In the play, you’ll meet the quirky, troubled, and resilient members of a multi-generational local family. We want to see what they are hiding.
We are looking for photographs, taken from above, of a typical junk drawer (and its contents) that might be found in a local kitchen or living room. Please don’t neaten it for us, we want it just the way it is!
Please send by Oct. 15 for highest priority consideration.
Please also include your name and any other contact information.
If we decided to use your photo, and you’d like to be anonymous, that’s OK; if you want a credit, please let us know how you would like your name to appear and what neighborhood and island you are from.
