SUBJECT:
Construction Start of the new Landscape Building

CONTRACTOR:

Diede Construction, Inc.

SCOPE OF WORK:

The scope of work includes the Design and Construction of a new Landscape Building on the existing Fleet Services Parking Lot (Zone 05), a new nursery located in open area north of the Biomedical Sciences Building, and new Parking Lot on the site of the current Landscape Building.  The new Landscape Building will be constructed from pre-engineered steel structure, and includes three equipment service bays, equipment storage spaces, a tool room, locker rooms, a conference/break room, and bathroom with showers.  The work will also include various mechanical and electrical work, and handling of contaminated soils, and hazardous material abatement. 

EFFECTIVE DATES:

02/20/2024 - 02/28/2025

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:

7:00AM-4:00PM

ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIAL (ACM) ABATEMENT:

Approximately 100 LF of asbestos containing white caulking. Lead-based paint is present on exterior painted metal posts, frames, and siding.

ACCESSIBLE ROUTES:

No accessible routes are affected by this work.

ADVISORY:

All persons in the vicinity of this construction are advised to respect all barricades and all posted safety/detour signs. Your patience, cooperation and understanding are requested as the inconveniences inherent to repair work (noise, dust, odors and debris) are generated by this construction.
