Biomedical Science Building - Rooms T514, T514A Improvement

SCOPE OF WORK:

The renovation of Biomed Rooms T514 and T514A.  Scope includes the replacement of resilient wall base, ceiling tiles, lighting, and painting of interior walls. 

EFFECTIVE DATES:

05/20/2024 - 07/26/2024

HOURS OF CONSTRUCTION:

7:30am - 4:30pm

ASBESTOS CONTAINING MATERIAL (ACM) ABATEMENT:

Wall joint compound and VCT flooring w/mastic was found to contain asbestos in rooms T514 and T514A. Approximately 52 square feet of non-friable asbestos containing material will be removed by a certified/licensed asbestos abatement contractor. Asbestos (ACM) abatement is to tentatively start on Tuesday, May 28th to Friday, May 31st. Please contact UH EHSO if there any specific questions regarding asbestos containing material.

No accessible routes are affected by this work.

All persons in the vicinity of this construction are advised to respect all barricades and all posted safety/detour signs. Your patience, cooperation and understanding are requested as the inconveniences inherent to repair work (noise, dust, odors and debris) are generated by this construction.
