Please join us Thursday, March 21, 2013 at 3:30pm in the Tokioka Room to hear UH History Professor Mark McNally discuss the significance of the bankoku shinryō no kane 万国津梁の鐘 (“the bell of the bridge to the world”) as an early example of Ryūkyūan/Okinawan exceptionalism. This event is co-sponsored by the Center for Okinawan Studies. Light refreshments will be served.
