Hawaiʻinuiākea Student Advisory Board

The purpose of the Hawaiʻinuiākea Student Advisory Board is to provide a venue to uplift, support and encourage student voice and action in support of Hawaiian student success at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The group was originally founded in 2011, to amplify student voice in decision making processes as it applies within the Hawaiʻinuiākea School of Hawaiian Knowledge. The group was revived in 2021, with an added goal to bring together all four units in Hawaiʻinuiākea: Kamakakūokalani Center for Hawaiian Studies, Kawaihuelani Center for Hawaiian Language, Native Hawaiian Student Services and Ka Papa Loʻi o Kānewai. The board is comprised of students we are both elected and selected to serve.
