Background: 

Allyson was raised in Kailua, Oʻahu and graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama in 2011. She was accepted into the College Opportunities Program, where she passed the program to gain admission into UH Mānoa. She graduated in 2015 with her Bachelors degree in Hawaiian Studies. Allyson has worked at NHSS for 11 years, starting at NHSS in 2012 as an Outreach Assistant and now the Outreach Coordinator who works with various high schools and community organizations to create a pathway to UH Mānoa. She is passionate and committed to creating opportunities for Native Hawaiian students and lāhui, wherever their path may take them, in betterment of their future and our people as a whole. She loves going to Kahoʻolawe with the Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana, taking photos, traveling the world and spending time with her ʻohana.
