Rachel Sutton, CSA

Rachel Whitley Sutton grew up in New York and attended Berkshire School in Sheffield Mass. After graduation she moved to the Bay Area of California where she graduated UC Santa Cruz with a degree in Biology.

Rachel moved to Oahu in 1999 and in 2002 she began assisting Anna Fishburn in her Casting office in Honolulu. They worked together casting numerous projects including, Beyond the Break, ER and the first full season of LOST. After branching out on her own to do Background casting for Boarding School, Flight 29 Down, Entourage and The Reef, she returned to LOST to do principal casting for it’s final 2 seasons. During that time she worked with Alexander Payne on, The Descendants. When LOST filmed it’s final episode she flew to Maui to oversee Background casting for Adam Sandler’s, Just Go With It and in the Fall of 2010 signed on as Casting Director for the revamped CBS series HAWAII 5-0. She also has, MAGNUM PI, LAST RESORT and INHUMANS on her principal casting credits.

Rachel was fortunate enough to work with Cameron Crowe on his film ALOHA, numerous national commercials, and just last year oversaw local casting on GODZILLA VS. KONG. Rachel has been a member of the Casting Society of America (CSA) since 2012 and received an ARTIOS nomination and win in 2017 for Casting Auli’i Cravalho in MOANA.

Katie Doyle, CSA

Doyle is a Location Casting Director based on Oahu, with extensive experience casting for dozens of feature films, television series, MOWs and commercials on all the islands of Hawaii. She specializes in finding the unknown (and sometimes very well known!) Talent for those “impossible-to cast-on-location” roles.

She seeks and finds Union and Non-Union Talent of all ethnicities throughout the islands of Hawaii. In addition to her knowledge of, and access to, the local talent pool, she and her team have a comprehensive understanding of local & national SAG-AFTRA rules/rates/requirements as well as our State’s current Child Labor Laws.

Some of Katie’s noteable casting work has included Jumanji: The Next Level, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jurassic World, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Midway and Hobbs & Shaw. Recently she worked with Academy Award winner, Taika Waititi on his feature, Next Goal Wins.

On an island in the middle of the Pacific Ocean, on the piece of land that is literally the furthest away from any other land mass in the world, Katie revels in nurturing the local talent and proving time and time again that YES, WE CAN!

Gary Marsh, Breakdown Services

Gary was born in Doncaster, England, emigrated to Hamilton, Ontario at the age of 6, and drove Route 66 with his parents to Hollywood to launch his career as a child Actor at the age of 10.

In 1971, his mother – who had become a Hollywood Agent – asked Gary to drive to the Studios, read the script in each office and take notes so she could pitch her Actors. Perhaps he might also run into a Casting Director here or there.

That small task led Gary to revolutionize the casting process. By creating the Breakdowns and a delivery service to facilitate distribution, Gary standardized role descriptions and access to information for everyone. This leveled the playing field for Agents and created a whole new system for Casting Directors, Agents and Actors.

Gary continues to be a groundbreaking innovator and Breakdown Services has evolved to provide the most complete services for Actors, Talent Representatives, Casting Directors and Filmmakers. As the premiere casting support service in the world, we release over 43,000 projects annually across all genres including; film, TV, theatre, new media, commercial and voice.
