Moi Baked in Ti Leaves

  • 2 lbs moi (threadfish), cleaned
  • 1 tsp Hawaiian salt
  • 4 ti leaves, ribs and stems removed

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Clean fish and sprinkle with salt.
  3. Lay fish lengthwise on a ti leaf. Sprinke both sides of fish with salt. Wrap fish with additional leaves until covered. Tie ends with string or piece of stem.
  4. In a 9" x 13" baking or roasting pan, bake uncovered for 30-40 minutes.
  5. Cut open ti leaves and serve.
