My students really enjoyed the activity. I found a couple of videos to help reinforce or introduce the concept of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. If your school has a BrainPOP subscription, just search for "Antibiotic Resistance". If your school does not have a BrainPOP subscription, there's a cute (but a little slow-moving) video at this link: http://vimeo.com/15175424. I found that many of my 7th grade students had no prior knowledge of antibiotic resistance, so watching the BrainPOP at the beginning of the lesson was a good "Initiation" to get them introduced to the topic, and focused on learning more about it.

After the game I moved onto the evolution of fish via the stickleback fish. This is a short video that explains it really well and my 7th graders seemed to follow the flow from bacteria to the fish fairly easily

Thank you! Our school does have Brain Pop and a SMARTboard for video viewing. So, we'll try this idea. I taught it once to my 3,4,5,6,7 and 8th grades, but it was not that easy for them to understand the concept or the game. I am going to re-teach it using your suggestions. Any other way to make it more "user friendly"?
