The University of Hawai’i has an agreement with Peking University – one of China’s oldest and most prestigious institutions of higher learning – to send UHM CCS faculty members or PhD students there to study or conduct research. In return, UHM hosts Peking University faculty members here in Hawai’i. Click HERE to learn more.

• A stipend for living expenses
• Access to the library

Special Requirement

• If you receive the award, you will need to send CCS at ccsgrant@hawaii.edu a concise research report (1-2 pages) about your exchange upon its completion, which will be shared via the CCS website for public viewing and with program donors through the UH Foundation.
• If you are a CCS faculty member who receives the award, you are obligated to serve on the CCS scholarship committee for the following school year and as a faculty sponsor to visiting scholars from Peking University with matching specialties.
