Taiwan-U.S. Relations During the Biden Era

Speakers:

Chelsea Chou 周嘉辰, Associate Professor, Graduate Institute of National Development, National Taiwan University. Chou’s research interests include Comparative Politics, Authoritarianism, Social Policies, International Relations, and Chinese Politics. She has published in the Journal of Chinese Political Science, Mainland China Studies, Journal of Electoral Studies, Social Policy & Administration, Prospect Quarterly and other places.

Chenlung Kuo 郭崇倫, Practical Associate Professor, Graduate Institute of Journalism, National Taiwan University. Deputy Editor-in-Chief, United Daily News; Director, International News Center, Media and Media Service; Host, “Global Observation” program; former Chief Editor, (Taiwan) Business Weekly; Chief Editor, (Taiwan) Times Weekly.

Bill Sharp is president of Sharp Translation and Research, LLC. He taught East Asian politics at Hawaii Pacific University for 23 years, and has taught at the University of Hawaii at Mãnoa, and Chaminade University. In 2016, he did research at the Academia Sinica in Taiwan on a Taiwan Fellowship; during late 2017 and early 2018, he was a Fellow in the Center for Taiwan Studies at Fudan University, Shanghai; and in 2020 he returned to Taiwan on another Taiwan Fellowship.
