Hawaiʻi International Conference on Chinese Studies

Hawaiʻi International Conference on Chinese Studies (HICCS) brings together educators and professionals from a wide range of fields in Chinese Studies to present papers on various aspects of Chinese culture and society in mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, and among overseas Chinese societies. The goal of HICCS is to create an interdisciplinary atmosphere for our understanding of the past, present, and future of Chinese society and addressing issues within China and in Chinese communities throughout the world.

School of Pacific and Asian Studies Graduate Conference

The annual SPAS Asian Studies Graduate Student Conference is organized by the School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the University of Hawai’i at Manoa. Spanning two days in mid-spring, the SPAS Graduate Student Conference brings together graduate students from across the University of Hawai’i system, mainland US colleges, and international academic institutions, from any discipline with a focus on Asia to present their research. The Conference facilitates the building of academic relationships across the Pacific region and beyond, and allows graduate students to develop their work within a community of like-minded peers.
