The more Asia-Pacific countries open their doors, the more tourists will come to Hawai‘i. With greater numbers of tourists (especially from China) coming here, our challenges are to market our visitor industry (particularly to Chinese tourists) and to manage it using more sustainable approaches that will be acceptable and beneficial to local residents.
