The Schwarzman Scholars Application is Live!

We are excited to announce that the Schwarzman Scholars application for the 2019-2020 academic year is now available. We look forward to meeting another outstanding group of talented, young leaders from across the globe.

The importance of our mission, to build greater understanding between China and the rest of the world, couldn’t be more evident today. The third class of 142 Schwarzman Scholars will matriculate at Tsinghua this August with 40% of the cohort coming from the United States, 20% from China, and 40% from the rest of the world. For a glimpse into the experience of a Schwarzman Scholar, we encourage you to watch our short video below.

The program is open to candidates between the ages of 18 and 28 years old, regardless of nationality, who are proficient in English and have obtained an undergraduate degree or its equivalent. Mandarin skills are not required for admission. Whether in politics, business, sciences, or the arts – successful applicants are young people who have already begun to demonstrate the ability to lead and produce results in their fields and who have a commitment to building understanding among people with differing perspectives.

To access the U.S./Global application and learn more about requirements please visit the Schwarzman Scholars website. The U.S./Global application opened April 16th and will close at 11:59PM on September 27, 2018. (The deadline for candidates who hold passports from mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macao is May 31st. The China application can be found here .) The written application will be reviewed by a distinguished team of readers from around the world who will narrow the pool based on an extensive set of guidelines. More than 400 finalists will be invited to an in-person interview in Beijing, Bangkok, London, or New York, and will be notified of their acceptance by mid-November 2018.

Webinars and in-person information sessions for interested applicants will be hosted in April and through the next several months leading up to the application deadline. To find out more, please sign-up for a session or contact us with any questions.

We look forward to staying in touch as our fourth application cycle begins.

Best,

Rob
