Each year, CCS organizes 12-16 Webinars featuring speakers from Asia, Europe and mainland US, who focus on Chinese Studies. CCS webinars feature inter-regional and inter-disciplinary topics with the format of faculty dialogue, book launch, roundtable/panel discussion, which include student, community, and administrative voices. Center for Chinese Studies (CCS) participated in the Hawai’i Ku’u Home Aloha Summit organized by Native Hawaiian Place of Learning Advancement Office at UH on January 16, 2024.
Center for Chinese Studies participated in the NCUSCR organized China Town Hall event on April 9, 2024.
With STARTALK grant support, CCS launched the Hawai’i Chinese Language Teacher Training Institute and Student Language Camp in 2006 and continued the project until 2021.
