I am an associate professor of Korean linguistics in the Department of EALL at University of Hawai’i at Manoa. My research focuses on investigating the intricate relationship between language and social interaction observed in everyday and institutional settings. I received the 2017 College of Languages, Linguistics, and Literature Junior/Mid-Career Faculty Excellence in Scholarship & Research Award.
