There are many unique services available to veterans and military connected students at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. The following offices are listed with a description of their services, as well as their contact information.

Vet Success on Campus (VSOC)

Services offered:

  • Assisting with access to VA benefits, such as providing information on submitting a claim for Vocational Rehabilitation & Employment (VRE) as well as locating community and campus resources
  • Assisting with providing Veteran-specific career and employment services
  • Providing supportive guidance to ensure Veterans’ health, education, and VA benefit needs are met, while utilizing their VA educational benefits

Office of the Registrar – Veterans Affairs (VA)

UHM accepts Veteran Affairs (VA) educational benefits for active duty, dependents, National Guard, Reservist, and veterans. Please visit http://www.manoa.hawaii.edu/records/veterans/ for information about how to use VA education benefits at UHM. In addition, the Mānoa campus VA Certifying Official is located in the Office of the Registrar. The VA Certifying Official can provide information about VA educational benefits, certifying and monitoring veterans’ enrollment, , and other academic information.

Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL)

The Veterans Integration to Academic Leadership (VITAL) program is a partnership between Department of Veterans Affairs and local universities and colleges across the country. The VITAL program is comprised of VA mental health professionals, who can assist both Student Veterans and their universities/colleges by providing or assisting with various services, resources, and support. VITAL’s mission is to help Veterans achieve their academic and career goals.

University of Hawaii at Mānoa Children’s Center (UHMCC)

Campus child care for children ages 2-5 at the UHMCC. Up to 50% direct child care subsides is available for student parents with our CCAMPIS (Child Care Access Means Parents In School) Program. Priority given to military families. (Learn more…)

Hamilton Library

Our faculty and staff serve as the human connection between people and the knowledge resources that they need to succeed.
