Roy Gal
Roy Gal received his B.A. in Astrophysics from Columbia University in 1994 and his Ph.D. in Astronomy from Caltech in 2001. He research emphasizes the detection of galaxy clusters and the evolution of galaxies. Following postdoctoral positions at Johns Hopkins University and University of California – Davis, Gal joined UH Mānoa’s Institute for Astronomy (IfA) in 2006. He teaches, conducts research, and is responsible for the IfA’s outreach programs.
