Marcel Honoré

Marcel Honoré was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a staff writer at Honolulu Civil Beat, primarily covering rail and environmental issues. Before this position, Honoré worked at The Desert Sun in Palm Springs, California, covering city government and immigration issues. He attended Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism and served as a Washington, D.C. correspondent for The Seattle Times and the Santa Barbara News-Press. In 2011, Honoré received a California Newspaper Publishers Award.
