Mahealani Wendt is the author of the poetry book Uluhaimālama (2007) and the co-editor of Ho`olaule`a: Celebrating 10 Years of Pacific Writing. Wendt has been published in numerous literary journals and anthologies in Hawai`i and the Pacific Islands. She is also a community activist and the former Executive Director of the Native Hawaiian Legal Corporation, a nonprofit, public interest law firm that legally represents Indigenous Hawaiians.
