Juli Berwald

Hawaiʻi Book and Music Festival

Science writer Juli Berwald is a lifelong student of the ocean. She received her PhD in ocean science from the University of Southern California, and her work has appeared in Nature, National Geographic, and The New York Times. She is the author of several science textbooks, a science-memoir about jellyfish, and her latest book, Life on the Rocks: Building a Future for Coral Reefs (Riverhead, 2022).
