Joanne Lipman began her career as a staff reporter for the Wall Street Journal, where she rose to Deputy Managing Editor, the first woman to hold the post. She has served as editor-in-chief of The Wall Street Journal Weekend, USA Today, the USA Today Network, and Conde Nast Portfolio magazine, leading those organizations to a total of six Pulitzer Prizes. A frequent TV news commentator, Lipman is a journalism lecturer at Yale and an on-air CNBC contributor. She is the bestselling author of two books, That’s What She Said: What Women and Men Need to Know about Working Together and Next!
