Janny Scott is a Pulitzer Prize-winning New York Times reporter and the author of two books, The Beneficiary: Fortune, Misfortune, and The Story of My Father and A Singular Woman: The Untold Story of Barack Obama’s Mother. She reported for the NYT from 1994 to 2009, winning the Pulitzer Prize for national reporting in 2000.
