David Derauf has been the Executive Director at the Kōkua Kalihi Valley Comprehensive Family Services, a non-profit medical clinic, since 2003. Before he was hired at KKV, Derauf was the Assistant Director of Public Health in the Thai Highland Project on the border of Thailand and Burma from 1987-1988. Derauf earned his MPH from the University of Hawai`i at Mānoa and served as a UH Assistant Clinical Professor of Public Health, Medicine, and Nursing. Currently, Derauf serves as a board member of the Association of Asian and Pacific Island Community Health Organizations (AAPCHO) and several other healthcare associations that focus on the well-being of Hawaiian communities.
