Charles Fletcher

Dr. Charles “Chip” Fletcher is the Interim Dean of the School of Ocean and Earth Science and Technology at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He is Chairperson of the Honolulu Climate Change Commission, a prominent public speaker, and a contributor to local and national media. Fletcher received his PhD in Marine Geology from the University of Delaware. His research focuses on Pacific paleo-sea level history, beach processes, and modeling the impacts of past, present, and future sea level rise on island environments and communities. He also serves as the Vice-Chair of the City and County of Honolulu Climate Change Commission.
