The murder of George Floyd, health disparities exacerbated by Covid, the provocations and neglect of a president—these are the sparks for a new freedom movement. BTSS is organizing a series of live conversations to talk about racism, resistance, and building a better future. Speakers in the lineup include: author and humanitarian Michael Bennett, Georgetown law professor Paul Butler, and one of the co-founders of Black Lives Matter, Alicia Garza.

The first conversation, featuring Bennett, includes remarks by local guests Ken Lawson, co-director of the Hawai‘i Innocence Project, and Akiemi Glenn, executive director of the Pōpolo Project. Check out our conversation HERE. And stay tuned for more.
