Her responsibilities include identifying funding and establishing strategic opportunities, partnerships, policies, and initiatives to improve health and health care across the state and nation by leveraging UH’s research enterprise, programs and capabilities in the area of health sciences. She received a BS in human biology at Stanford University, an MD at the John A. Burns School of Medicine, and a Master of Public Health at Harvard.
