HUOA 30th Okinawan Festival

Looking for something exciting to do this weekend? The Hawaii United Okinawa Association (HUOA)’s 30th Okinawan Festival takes place this weekend, Sept. 1-2, 2012, at Kapiolani Park. This is a big event that takes place every year during the Labor Day weekend. The Center for Okinawan Studies is very fortunate to be able to participate in the festival, with a table in the Cultural Tent. There will be some books for sale (Manoa Journal’s Living Spirit and the Okinawan-English Wordbook among them) at our table. Please come and visit!

Lots of cultural exhibitions, food, entertainment, arts and crafts, and games for the children! Did we mention delicious FOOD?!? Please check out the HUOA’s website for all the details for the Okinawan Festival: Hawaii United Okinawa Association’s 30th Okinawan Festival
