Zoom Technical Help

To prevent Zoombombing, please do not post Zoom meeting links with passwords or Zoom meeting links with embedded passwords publicly. This is an easy way hackers can access your meetings. We understand some meetings or events need to be available for public viewing, i.e streamed for viewing. For these types of meetings, we recommend using the registration feature when scheduling the meeting or consider booking a Zoom webinar through the UH IT office (uh-zoom-support@lists.hawaii.edu).

Please take the time to review(UH ITS Recommended Zoom Settings) for detailed guidance and best practices using Zoom securely and safely.

Changing/adding/removing your profile picture in Zoom can be done via your Zoom account. To access your Zoom profile, sign in to the Zoom web portal https://zoom.us/ and click on "My Account" (top right after login). To the left of your name, this is where the image can be added, changed, or removed. Here is a 38 second instructional video.

HIPAA

If you are in need of a HIPAA compliant meeting, requests can be made to JABSOM Office of Information Technology, jabsom-helpdesk@lists.hawaii.edu, 692-1111. Please specify your HIPAA needs in your reservation request. These zoom accounts that have a limit of 100 participants maximum. JABSOM OIT will do their best to accommodate needs.

UHP Zoom is HIPAA compliant. UHP users don't need to do anything to set it up. Security measures are enabled and managed by UHP IT staff. UHP has a business associate agreement with Zoom.
