Attached is my plan for the microevolution activity. One modification I made was for an extension activity about the evolution of peppered moths during England's Industrial Revolution.

My students are in 8th grade. Once the analogy was developed and explained, they made the connection quite easily. I posted a brief PowerPoint that I used for the presentation elsewhere on the site. You should check it out!

Thank you for sharing your lesson plan. What age are your students? Were they able to grasp the concept of using the paperclips and dice to model microevolution easily?
