How long did this lab take your kids to do? I have it planned as a fun lab but it really doesnt fit into what were covering so just wanted to see how much background they needed to do this.

It took my student only 1 period which is about 50 minutes long. We've covered the water molecule earlier in the year so they had some prior knowledge, so when it came time to doing the lab I just briefly review the chemistry of water.
