Fun activity!! Students really liked being able to "break" water molecules and see how fast the gas was produced.

Did you show them the Hydrogen gas test on video or try with the gas you collected?
Certainly was a fun lab for me.

Thanks, Bryan, for suggesting showing the hydrogen gas test on video.
Some things can be so simple like a video but yet helps a lot in learning.
I show videos whenever a topic might be a little complex or hard to picture. The students also are not just listening to my voice.

Hi Bryan,

I think I should have looked at your lesson before doing my own!! Good idea with the video. I think I'll show it to my students next week. It's never too late, right? :) I had my students research about the Hindenburg and the Space Shuttle Challenger to learn more about hydrogen.
