I really wanted to do this activity but just couldn't justify it in a chemistry class. I imagine it as pretty fun. How did it go in your class? Was it in Paul's Marine Science class? Paul was saying it took a considerable amount of time. When you and I start doing the Salt Pond walks this spring it will be a good activity to do out there. Oh wait, it has to be dark. How long does this reply have to be to qualify? Did you read my last one?

I really enjoyed your last reply. You are very thoughtful. It would make a great tie-in as to why we can only visit the tide pools at Salt Pond on certain dates and times. Lunar phases!
It did take a considerable amount of time and I would definitely abbreviate much of this activity for future lessons.
