Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer+ (LGBTQ+) Center strives to maintain a safe and inclusive campus environment that is free from harassment and discrimination. Our purpose is to empower students to create healthy living-learning communities, enhance interpersonal growth, and celebrate academic achievement. We offer daily direct services, advocacy and a study lounge, M-F, 9:00am-5:00pm.

Honolulu Pride Parade

Please march with us in the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa contingent in the Honolulu, Pride Parade, Saturday, October 19, 2019. We will be meeting at 9:00 am in the Magic Island Parking Lot of Ala Moana Beach Park. All are welcome and attendance is free!

An event for LGBTQ+ and ally young people, ages 16-25

In celebration of Pride and National Coming Out Day, University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa LGBTQ+ Center and Rainbow Alliance, Hawaii LGBT Legacy Foundation, and the Honolulu Pride Parade and Festival with support from the Atherton YMCA and T Mobile.

Description:

Announcing the Safe Zone Training schedule on LGBTQ+ safety and inclusion at UH Mānoa. Please register today. Completers of the training will receive a Safe Zone sign to indicate their participation in this program aimed at addressing campus climate, LGBTQ+ inclusion and equity.

Who:

Anyone looking to address oppression and be part of a university-wide campaign to build a safe and welcoming campus community for LGBTQ+ people.

What will be addressed:

  • How to identify and respond to homophobia and sex discrimination
  • How to address gender identity and gender-based harassment
  • How to be an effective ally or advocate for LGBTQ+ people
