New Warrior Orientation
New Warrior Orientation is mandatory, free to attend, and will take place on Wednesday, August 19, and Thursday, August 20, 2026. Meet fellow incoming students, connect with our New Warrior Peer Leaders, explore campus, participate in activities designed to help you feel at home at UH Mānoa, and deepen your understanding of what it means to be part of the Mānoa ʻohana.
Registration opens at the end of July. Details on how to register will be posted on this website and emailed to students. Students must complete their registration by 11:59 PM HST on Sunday, August 9.

Wednesday, August 19: Connecting to Place & Community
- 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM: New Warrior Welcome Rally
- 12:00 PM - 3:00 PM: Choose Your Own Adventure
- Lunch will be provided
Choose Your Own Adventure: Create your own personalized experience by selecting from a variety of sessions and activities. When you register for New Warrior Orientation, you'll be able to choose up to two activities, depending on the session times and availability.

Additional Information:
What to Bring: Wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for walking around campus and warm weather. We also recommend bringing water to stay hydrated.
Accommodations: If you require any accommodations to participate in New Warrior Orientation, you'll have the opportunity to indicate your needs during registration (opens at the end of July).
Families & Supporters: New Warrior Orientation is designed specifically for incoming students. We will not be offering a separate family (ʻohana) orientation program this year. While you participate in orientation activities, your family and supporters are welcome to explore campus and the surrounding community.
Student Housing Move-In: Student move-in will not be available during New Warrior Orientation on August 19-20. If you miss your assigned move-in date, you may move in after Orientation concludes for the day.
