What is a sophomore?

“Sophomore” year refers to the second year of college, but it is so much more than that. While it is part of the period between the first year of college and graduation, there are many important decisions often made during the second year. Such decisions involve major selection, study abroad options, career pursuits, applying for internships, and extracurricular participation. Other changes may also occur in the social and personal lives of sophomore students.Sophomore year is a year of transition, and each student’s experience is different. While some students breeze through their second year, many find it challenging.
