As we grow into the future, we plan to expand the use of this fund to provide educational opportunities, professional development, travel, lodging and conference attendance fees and expenses associated with conference participation, annual and recurring awards / recognition ceremonies, as well as other miscellaneous expenditures to support the recruitment, retention and professional development of Midshipmen.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide the means to fund Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) general operating expenses that are not otherwise covered by other Department of Defense (DOD) / Department of the Navy (DON) or University of Hawaii at Mānoa funding sources. General operating expenses include, but are not limited to, procurement of emblematic items, event funding (i.e. educational, professional development, travel, lodging and conference attendance fees and expenses associated with conference participation, annual and recurring awards / recognition ceremonies, and other recommended and/or required events as directed by the Professor of Naval Science, etc.) as well as other miscellaneous expenditures determined necessary by the Professor of Naval Science to support the recruitment, retention and professional development of Midshipmen and the perpetuation of the University of Hawaii Naval ROTC Program.
