FIELD TRAINING EXERCISE
WHAT IS FTX?
Twice a year, the Warrior Battalion heads out to the field for an entire weekend to conduct training. These three-day training events introduce cadets to the soldier skills they otherwise wouldn’t be able to get on campus. They allow cadets to apply what they’ve learned on campus in a tactical environment.

FALL SEMESTER
Typically held in late September, the Fall FTX brings all of the Warrior Battalion together for a weekend of challenging training. Focusing mainly on squad tactics, the Fall FTX introduces MSIs to field-craft and puts MS3's in their first tactical leadership positions. Squad Size Tactical Exercises (STX) prepare the MS3's for Platoon STX in the upcoming semester.
SPRING SEMESTER
Held in April, the FTX is held at Bellows Air Force Base. Sprng FTX trains Cadets in Tactical Training Base operations, Platoon Size Tactical Exercises (STX Lanes) and Patrolling. MS3's are now leading the MS1's and 2's as they would at CST in order to prepare for camp. The biggest training event before stepping off to Fort Knox in the upcoming summer.
