The Warrior Battalion would like to share a special story featuring Dr. Katherine Finn-Davis, Director for Community Partnerships at the University of Hawaii School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene.
We sent her to Fort Knox, Kentucky, to visit Cadet Summer Training (CST) from 13-16 June 2017. While there, Dr. Davis took part in a symposium about the benefits ROTC provides for students, ways ROTC can collaborate with universities, and Officer Careers. Educators from all over the country attended this event and were given a brief from MG Hughes, the US Army Cadet Command Commander, a tour of CST, and an opportunity to conquer the 64-foot rappel tower.
Dr. Davis was even selected to participate in a tandem jump with the Golden Knights!
Reflecting upon her experience, Dr. Davis says that she definitely has a greater respect for Army ROTC and the type of training that our Nursing Cadets do here at the Warrior Battalion.
Sending a huge mahalo to Dr. Davis and the University of Hawaii School of Nursing and Dental Hygiene for supporting the Warrior Battalion. Ikaika Imua!
