The Department of Tropical Medicine, Medical Microbiology, and Pharmacology proudly participated in the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa’s annual Welina Mānoa First Day of School Kick-Off on August 25, 2025. At our booth, we had the opportunity to connect with many students, sharing information about our department’s teaching, research, and community goals, as well as showcasing the Tropical Medicine Club. Attendees enjoyed engaging in a trivia game with tropical medicine–themed questions, receiving free snacks and swag items, and participating in our raffle for an exclusive Tropical Medicine Club ceramic mug. The event provided a wonderful opportunity to interact with both new and returning students, foster interest in our programs, and celebrate the vibrant start of the semester.
