Payment Processing

The Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health Continuing Education Program uses Jotform.Com for registration and Authorize.net to process credit card transactions.

The following credit cards are accepted for payment:

Visa
Discover Card

We apologize, but we do not accept American Express.

Once your registration fee has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email at the email address you provided. The charge will be listed as "MBT SSW CONT ED & PRO DEV."

Withdrawals & Refunds

Unless otherwise specified, a full refund is given if requests are received by 12:00 noon three working days before the workshop or first class meeting (series). Requests are made in person, by mail (postmarked by the refund deadline), or by calling the Continuing Education & Professional Development Program at (808) 956-9885. Failure to attend class or notifying your instructor of intent to withdraw does not constitute an official withdrawal from the class. Agencies submitting purchase orders for student registration fees will be billed regardless of attendance unless notification of withdrawal is made by the specified refund deadline.

All refunds are processed as a check and mailed to the address provided. Refunds may take 4 to 6 weeks to process

Cancellation Policy

The Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health – Continuing Education & Professional Development program reserves the right to cancel a program and will make every effort to notify registrants as quickly as possible. In these situations, a complete refund will be provided. The University of Hawai‘i and Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health are not responsible for any cancellation/change charges assessed by airlines and travel agencies. Information, including a statement of fees, course offerings, schedules, etc., is subject to change without notice or obligation.

Accommodations

Some aspects of this course/certificate program may be modified to facilitate your participation and progress. As soon as we are aware of your needs, we can work on accommodations. Any information you provide is private and confidential and will be treated as such.

Grievance Policy

If you have a concern about the course, the number of CEs awarded, or other any other issue related to the Continuing Education & Professional Development program, please email your concern to sswcepd@hawaii.edu or submit a written letter to our office at the following address: Continuing Education & Professional Development, Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health, 2430 Campus Road, 001B Gartley Hall, Honolulu, HI 96822.

All grievances are reviewed and discussed by the CEPD staff. The CEPD Program Coordinator will contact you to discuss your concern in more detail. Following the review, you will receive by email or by postal mail a response to your grievance. Virtual Attendance

For learners selecting to participate in a virtual session, it is required that you have reliable internet, a microphone, and a video camera.

Attendance Verification

As a continuing education provider, we are responsible for verifying your attendance in accordance with rules form the organization that approves the programs for social work continuing education contact hours.

Learners participating in a face-to-face workshop will be asked to sign-in at the workshop.

Learnings participating virtually, your attendance is logged by the webinar platform Zoom. Your time logged on to the platform is used to determine the number of social work continuing education contact hours that you will be awarded. At the conclusion of the virtual event, you will be required to complete an attendance verification form, which serves as verification of your attendance.

Learners should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

CE Endorsement

The University of Hawaii at Manoa, Thompson School of Social Work & Public Health (NASWHI-CEP-002) has been designated an approved provider of social work continuing education contact hours by the National Association of Social Workers Hawai’i Chapter.
