Seung Yang has served at UH Mānoa since 2018 and is the Assistant Director for the Undergraduate Research Opportunities Program (UROP). He oversees funding programs that support undergraduate research and creative work across disciplines and works closely with faculty, students, and campus partners. Seung joined the Mānoa Staff Senate in 2025 to give back to the campus that has provided him many opportunities, to advocate for the staff who are integral to the university community, and to ensure that staff voices are included in decisions that affect them.
