MSS 2022 Spring Forum Recap

On February 23, 2022, MSS hosted a virtual forum via Zoom, attracting 88 participants during the brown bag lunch hour. Mahalo to all who tuned in!

    • Blood Drive event co-sponsored with Naval ROTC

    • UH Campus Climate event: “Returning to Campus – Reflections on Adjusting and Adapting” – Zoom session – February 25, 2022 – 10:00 – 11:30 am.

  • We were also honored to welcome Guest speaker: Dr. Allyson Tanouye, Director and Chief Psychologist at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa Counseling and Student Development Center to talk about ways to cope with pandemic-related stress. Other subjects discussed also included the following:

  • Telework

    • Working with HGEA to work out any issues with this. (Supplemental Policy – Part of the BU8 contract.)

    • Majority of telework requests are not being approved for 100% telework, and not being approved beyond May 31, 2022.

    • Office space could change if employees are teleworking.

    • “Sniffle” policy

    • Provides a way that if you are feeling sick, but can still work, it will allow you to work from home in order to protect you and others. Work with your supervisor.

    • More information will be shared once the details are finalized.
