A dramatic reading of “The Return of Benjamin Lay,” starring award-winning actor Mark Povinelli. The play, written by Naomi Wallace and Marcus Rediker, brings back to life one of the most remarkable revolutionaries of the 18th century — a shepherd, prophet, sailor, abolitionist, and soul of fire. The play premiered in London at the Finborough Theatre to rave reviews. To be followed by a talk back with Povinelli and Rediker.
